Nomex ® Flet
Fibers that have high temperature and chemical resistance such as Nomex® or hydrolyzed resistant polyester fibers are used. Different felt types are also produced for special applications. Raw material of Nomex ® (m-AR) are 1.3 paraphenyl diamine(PPD) and isophthalic acid. Nomex ® Felt shows superior performance in high temperatures (140 Co->200 Co temperature and extreme humidity conditions, %10 ratio) among other felt types. Regarding this superior performance, they are safely used in all import and domestic ironing machines.
Polyester Felt
Main raw material of Polyester Felt are Glycol and Terephthalate. Multifilament polyester cloths which provide high resistance to felt is used for inner fiber. They are produced with double needling method in new generation needling machines. They are used as carrying-conveying and outlet bands.
Cotton Felt
Cotton felt is produced from natural fiber. There is flexibility and heat resistance under load. It is classified under technical textile felts group due to its resistance against physical and chemical effects. There are approximately 1.5% COOH and NH2 groups in cotton fiber. These groups provide acidic and alkaline characteristics to cotton felt.
What are the Basic Features of Felt?
Basically all needle felt products are resistant to heat. Air permeability, temperature resistance, width, weight and chemical content of the fiber used in felt production are the basic characteristics of the felt. It is necessary that the chemical content of the felt has the correct quality. Various fiber types are used in felt production. For example fibers that have high temperature and chemical resistance such as Nomex® or hydrolyzed resistant polyester fibers are used. Raw material of Nomex ® (m-AR) are 1.3 paraphenyl diamine(PPD) and isophthalic acid. Nomex ® Felt shows superior performance in high temperatures (140 Co->200 Co temperature and extreme humidity conditions 10% ratio) among other felt types. Things to consider when you are buying felt?
It is necessary that the chemical content of the felt has the correct quality. A quality felt protects its form even under the hardest conditions while a felt that does not have proper content will have narrowing in the width and length elongation after some time. Felts that have short life can give serious damages to your machine. New generation technology product belt, band and tapes that are imported from Europe are produced by using 100% Polyester, 100% Nomex ® and manufactured with needling, weaving and pressing method.
